Revitalisation Acupuncture is a natural alternative to surgical facelifts
or cosmetic procedures, such as Botox or high-street beauty
treatments. It is a non-surgical alternative whereby very
fine needles are placed in specific points on the face and
body. It is also used as full body treatment, treating holistically
at all levels. Top
Who
has Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture?
Anyone concerned with looking and
feeling young and slowing down the aging process. Different
methods are emphasised and specific points stimulated according
to how an individual is aging. For example, person with
excess puffiness would require a different treatment than
someone with dry skin. Top
How
safe is it?
Acupuncture is a safe treatment for
all. While not a replacement for surgery, Facial Revitalisation
Acupuncture is an excellent alterative. It is far less costly
than cosmetic surgery and is safe, virtually painless, has
no side effects or risk of disfigurement. Unlike surgery
that may have an extended recovery period with swelling
discoloration, there is no trauma from Facial Revitalisation,
which takes years off one's face safely and naturally while
improving overall health. Top
How
does it work?
For thousands of years, the Chinese
have known that beauty comes from the inside. At least as
early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD) Acupuncture rejuvenation
practices were employed for the Empress and the Emperor's
concubines. The Chinese discovered and utilised ways to
change the energy flow within the body to initiate the healing
process for rejuvenation. Though Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture
can sometimes be referred to as an Acupuncture Facelift,
it is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a rejuvenation
and revitalisation process designed to help the whole body
look and feel young. Top
What
does it involve?
Based on the principles of Oriental
Medicine, Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture involves the
insertion of hair-thin needles into particular areas of
the face, ears, neck, hands, trunk, and legs along channels
or meridians of energy called Qi. Specific points are chosen
to manipulate the movement of Qi in the body according to
the individual's needs. Many meridians either begin or end
on the face while some have internal branches that go to
the face. Therefore, treatments specifically affect the
face while simultaneously treating the underlying actors
that contribute to the ageing process. Top
How
will you respond to treatment?
Each person responds differently,
depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to
treatment. Following the initial course of treatment, maintenance
sessions can prolong the results for five to ten years. Top
How
frequent will your treatment be?
Normally consists of 12 treatments.
Initially treatments are once or twice a week. Each treatment
take between one and a half and two and a half hours. The
effects become most noticeable and last on or after the
seventh treatment, though many people notice improvement
much sooner. Top
